Preschool Professional DevelopmentIn a professional development training on Wednesday August 28, 2018, UCS Early Childhood teachers gained insight to the PreK-12 Literacy Framework developed by the MISD.  This framework identifies the characteristics of effective literacy instruction from preschool through grade 12.  Teachers were presented with staggering statistics and research based data that clearly demonstrates the need for a greater focus on early intervention for children struggling with literacy concepts and development.
