Come Explore Excellence
with UCS Early Childhood Programs
Utica Community Schools is proud to offer early learning opportunities for children as young as 6 weeks of age. Our exemplary Early Childhood programs include: Infant and Toddler Early Learning and Care, Full Day Preschool, Montessori Preschool, Great Start Readiness Preschool, traditional part day Nursery and Preschool as well as Parent and Child classes.
All of our Early Childhood programs use Creative Curriculum in their classrooms. This research based and state approved curriculum uses 38 objectives for development and learning for every age birth through kindergarten. Areas of development in our curriculum include: mathematics, language and literacy, science/technology, social/emotional, cognitive, social studies, the arts, and physical development.
The philosophy behind our Early Childhood curriculum is that young children learn best by doing. Learning requires active thinking and experimentation to find out how things work and to learn firsthand about the world we live in. The most important goal of our early childhood curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners. UCS Early Childhood programs help children become independent, self-confident and inquisitive.
You can learn more about all of our programs and curriculum by visiting our website at www.ucscommunityeducation.org/early_childhood or come explore with us in person at our Early Childhood Open House on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
